Gibson Custom Shop 2023 Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Ultra Light Aged
The "1959 Les Paul Custom Ultra Heavy Aged" has been aged by the Murphy Lab, a team specializing in aging led by leading aging expert Tom Murphy.
The Ultra Light Aged finish replicates a vintage guitar that has been carefully stored in a case with weather checks and minor damage.
The well-proportioned and beautifully figured flame maple is finished in a not-too-bright cherry sunburst, and the fingerboard is made of dark shade rosewood.
The all hide-gluing and parts have been carried over from the True Historic series, with vintage taper pots and bumblebee-type oil capacitors.
The neck is Authentic 59 Medium "C", a shape adopted from 2018, and is very slightly thinner than previous '59 models.
The pickups are equipped with un-potted Custombuckers.
It is in excellent condition with little signs of use, not much fret wear and no problems with the neck and truss rod.
