Wait, this is an archtop steeped in the New York City school of guitarmaking - yet designed with the modern player in mind. Whether being played purely as an acoustic instrument to drive a rhythm section à la Freddie Green of Count Basie fame, or being used with an optional floating pickup as an acoustic-electric executing the most demanding single string bebop passage, the Metropolitan guitar meets the test of the most discriminating players. Construction details include engraved mother of pearl inlays, ivoroid binding around the body, f-holes, neck and peghead, and the most highly figured domestic maple for back, sides and neck.
