  • Description: In all of the years that we have been selling vintage guitars, this is the first BC Rich B-38 that we ever had. For those of you who were not aware, initially BC Rich (Bernardo Rico) was a custom guitar builder who actually made some 300 Dreadnaught acoustic guitars. The most elaborate of his models was the B-45 the second in line was the B-38 (this one) It was modeled after the Martin D-28. It is beautifully adorned with Herringbone trim around both the top. It has gold grover romatic tuners and has a unique Square inlay pattern on the fingerboard and the bridge. This guitar is in very good condition except for some repaired top cracks. the guitar has performed all it's life and shows some pickwear. it is adorned with a typical 60s double pickguard that somehow makes it stylish and typical. Overall, I would consider this guitar to be a good solid 7 on condition. The nut width is 1 11/16", and it has forward shifted scalloped bracing. The Brazilian on this guitar is spectaculair and has nicely figured quartersawn grain. The guitar is equipped with a Fishman piezo. It is a somewhat different to D-28 tone, but still very Martin like. This guitar dates back to aprox. 1967-1968. It comes in a vintage hardshell case. This is a real piece of history that.
