  • Description: Carr makes the most musical amps I have yet to play through, and the Artemus is Steve's latest design. It gets 30 watts (you'd swear 50) out of four EL-84's, and a 12AX7 pre-amp circuit which avoids microphonics and the amp yeilds rich clean tones and chunky, smooth overdrives. It has a 30 or 15 watt setting. An Edge toggle switch adds top end and upper mids for more bite. A Mid toggle scoops some mids, giving you a 60's American amp tone, or a flat midrange like the AC style British amps. This amp works especially well with pedals, bringing out the best from your guitar.
