Description

It is quite simply the finest ukulele money can buy. Whether you are a collector, player, or both, there is no finer ukulele than the Martin 5k. This soprano size 5k post dates 1927 according to Longworth's Martin book due to it's lack of pearl on the sides. Even so, it is a marvelous and rare crack free example with only the tiniest of play ware on the upper treble horn, the sweet spot of many uke purists. It follows the normal 5k description, highly flamed Koa back, sides and top, pearl adorning the top, back, and soundhole. Mahogany neck coupled with an ebony fretboard. Style 45 neck inlay with Koa headstock veneer with inlaid pearl flowerpot scroll.
Sound and playability are optimum as expected from this premium instrument. If you are looking for the reason these instruments were called "bouncing flea", then you are looking at it. It's the best and most collectable ukulele, bar none, available in the world.
