Description

This is one of my favorite acoustic guitar models. If you need a guitar with power, particulary in the mid-ranges, but have to have note clarity too, then this is the guitar for you. The Collings DS2H, or DS2HA in the case of this example, is a 12-fret, slope shoulder dreadnought of the highest order. It is built with a 1-13/16" bone nut, 2-3/8" string spacing and 25-1/2" scale. This guitar has the upgraded Adirondack Spruce top along with nicely grained Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. See the pictured spec sheet for all the other details. The sound of this guitar is huge and the cowboy chords rock! This is the kind of guitar they had in mind when the term "Banjo Killer" was originated! This guitar is much more than just powerful, however. It gives you tons of overtones and the tone is big, lush and rich to my ears. It plays superbly too, which goes without saying as it is a Collings. This 2012 beauty is in virtually unplayed condition. I'll call her "near mint" in case I've missed some tiny imperfection, but it is safe to say this guitar is in superb condition, frets included. A new example of this guitar will set you back close to $5K with the upgraded Adirondack top, but this near new example can be yours for a bunch less. It comes with it's similarly mint Collings/TKL archtop case. Whatever kind of music you play, this guitar will make sure you are heard and I'm quite sure you will thoroughly love playing it! One fabulous acoustic instrument!
