Every time I get a Collings I-35 in stock I have this conversation with myself in which I swear I will never invest in another Gibson ES 335. These Collings I-35's - it doesn't matter which model - are just so good that after playing one, you may never again be satisfied with your 335. Offered here is a "standard" model I-35 built in 2011. There is nothing "standard" about this model; this is the medium-grade I-35 model with the solid (not laminated) carved Maple top but without all the upgraded cosmetics. It is built incredibly well and you know it as soon as you pick the guitar up and play the first few notes. It weighs just 6 pounds, 6 ounces. The pickups on this guitar are Jason Lollar low-wind humbuckers. It sounds like a mix between a Les Paul and a 335 to my ears, but plays far better than either of those guitars! The neck is a lovely chunky medium/fat C-shape that feels like a '59 LP. Regardless of the type of music you play, or whether you are a lead or rhythm player, this guitar has got you covered. This example shows no signs of wear that I can find, frets included. Lets just call it near mint in the event I've missed some tiny imperfection. It comes with it's similarly mint Collings/TKL case and paperwork. A new example like this one will run you $4,800. Save $1K on this near new example. What a fabulous semi-hollow guitar!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
