For me and many other folks, this may be the ultimate 335-style guitar. Check out this incredible 2007 Collings I-35 Deluxe in near mint condition. This early I-35 received lots of nice upgrades, including: a lovely quilted solid maple top; an alder center block; the blonde finish; a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and headstock overlay; and upgraded Sperzel tuners. Other key specs include a medium/fat C-shaped neck, Lollar Imperial "low wind" humbuckers, a 1.6875" bone nut, medium nickel-silver frets and a total weight of just 7.0 pounds (all specs confirmed by Collings Customer Service). About the only upgrade this guitar didn't get were the larger fretboard inlays, but why cover up any more of the feel and look of this beautiful piece of Brazilian rosewood than you have to?! This guitar can do it all; it can be everything from a jazz machine to a full-blown rocker. I don't know how Bill Collings does it, but virtually all of his creations have that liveliness and resonance that we guitarists yearn for and this guitar is no exception. Given how amazing this guitar is, it is equally surprising that it's been a case queen for most of it's life. About the only flaws you will find on this guitar include a slight touch of oxidation on the pickguard covers and the frets show little to no wear either - this guitar is in gorgeous condition! Comes with it's original Collings case and truss rod tool. This guitar has 'keeper' potential written all over it. Buy it before I lose all self-control....
