With its recent endorsement by Grammy-winning guitarist Bill Frisell, the I-35LC is drawing a lot of attention since it was introduced last year. Unlike the regular I-35, the I-35LC is constructed with laminate woods instead of Collings' traditional solid wood approach. As a result, the guitar is much more faithful to the vintage semi-hollowbody guitars it strives to replicate. Combined with the Jason Lollar Imperial humbuckers, the laminate woods help create a thick, woody, versatile tone. Like all Collings, it is very comfortable and easy to play, and the attention to detail is unmatched in the modern market. The guitar includes a deluxe Ameritage hardshell case.
