  • Description: This is a very rare Dan Armstrong London "Woody" guitar. Known more for his acrylic basses, this guitar is all the more unusual because it was made in St. Albans, England, 22 miles north of London. The solid Honduran mahogany body was built by Ian Halsey, a cabinet maker by trade, who built the bodies for Dan Armstrong. The solid Honduran mahogany neck is set in and the fingerboard is rosewood. There is one humbucker type sliding low impedance Armstrong pickup that was designed and made by Dan Armstrong's son, Kent. Both the front side of the headstock and the pickguard on this immaculate guitar are made from anodized aluminum. It also features a stamped aluminum truss rod cover with one set screw, aluminum thumb print style position markers, and "London" etched in the headstock under "Dan Armstrong." These guitars were quite expensive to produce. The foam interior of the original case has been severely degraded. Note: we also have the matching bass listed on GBase.
