  • Description: This is a rare one. These were the only true electric guitars D'Angelico made, the body was made by Cord of New Jersey and is laminated but with some real nice flamey maple, the neck and hardware are D'Angelico, John used parts that were available at the time and this one features Guild® P-90 style pickups, most, like this one, had an Aluminum cutout D'Angelico logo and featured the stairstep tailpiece common on his higher end archtops, the guitar is missing the pickguard and the selector switch cracked so a 50's chicken foot knob is on now for the pickup selector, the guitar sounds wonderful even for a laminated body, comes with the original Lifton HSC, strap and guitar cord, the story behind this piece is it was sold to the mailman who delivered to D'Angelico daily, his son wanted an electric guitar and John told him to buy this one.
