The extra length is designed to appeal to the down tuned, metal guitarist and the 255 delivers in spades. The 255 features a mahogany body with a mahogany set neck with a rosewood fingerboard finished in a classic black with yellow bevels. Way cool V inlays and a razor blade at the octave, 12th fret lend to the look of this monster. Hardware is done right with Grover tuners and a Floyd Rose tremolo that allows dive bombs and whammy mayhem done to perfection. Another major change with the Dean Razorback V 255 is the pickup configuration. Equipped with active EMG 81/85 pickups, the 255 sounds like hell being unleashed! The EMG 85 neck pickup will give you that low-end brutal sound a la Cowboys from Hell while the EMG 81 bridge pickup will provide razor sharp clarity even with tons of gain.
