  • Description: Up for sale is one used 1981 Dean Z electric guitar in excellent condition and perfect playing order. This incredible playing guitar features an all-Mahogany set-neck construction, Floyd Rose bridge with locking nut, Grover tuning machines, bound 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard and DiMarzio humbucking pickups. This guitar plays like a dream! It has a slightly slimmer, soft-V profile neck which could get no slinkier. It has a nut width of 1 5/8". The binding flanges out from the fingerboard very slightly, but enough that it's worthy of mention - 4/64" on each side to be exact. It's not a lot and doesn't seem to make it feel bigger. The guitar is such a great player that it doesn't really matter. Just thought we'd mention it. It's really incredible as-is, but it has been through some changes. First, it was originally a cherryburst finish. Someone obviously sanded the finish off to reveal the original nature of the Mahogany. It still looks really great though and has an awesome satin unfinished feel. Also, a Floyd Rose bridge system was installed in favor of the original tune-o-matic. The original brass V-plate will be included. The frets are the original jumbos but are now quite flat. They still play very well but will need to be replaced at some time in the near future. All in all, this is a screaming guitar. It's just got a few non-original quirks that we find add to its character. This incredible guitar comes with the original hard shell case.
