  • Year: 1930
  • Manufacturer: Dobro
  • Model: Model 55 Roundneck
  • Case: Hard
  • Color: Walnut
  • Condition: Very Good
  • Description: Newly Reduced Price! Was $1999. Dobro Model 55, Roundneck. #1805 stamped into top of peghead= 1930. California Dobro production began in 1929. Other specifics of identification are: The top coverplate screw is @ the 12 O’clock position, “Pat.Pend.” stamped into coverplate under aforementioned screw, & no room for another fret @ end of the fretboard. This instrument appears to be all original. The Walnut finish shows playwear with scratches & minor dings, but has a patina and cool look around the edges that only true life experiences can give. I’ve said this many times but, if it could talk. The gears and buttons are in excellent condition, ( two of the buttons appear a shade lighter but I think are original), Ivoroid binding on the 12 fret neck has yellowed and is in excellent condition, red bean fingerboard with very minor grooving and then only frets 1-3. The frets themselves are low & flat. Back of the neck has several ¼ moon looking impressions possibly from a capo. The neck joint is tight. Screens, chrome coverplate, & tailpiece are in great shape. This is a crack free blues machine. Thanks, Tommy Allen, Atlanta Premier Guitars, 770-860-8551 www.atlantapremierguitars.com
