Airline® Guitars were made in the USA from 1958-68 by VALCO and sold through Montgomery Ward. VALCO also made National and SUPRO brands. Today they are played by people like The Cure, Calexico, Raconteurs and White Stripes. Original Res-O-Glas models now sell for $2,000-$3,000. This current wood body, humbucker variation on the old Monkey Ward classic is not only very toney and quite playable but unique. With a 25.5" inch scale and a 20 fret neck it puts more space between the humbuckers. This makes the "out-of-phase" settings much more airy, open and usable that the three pickup gibson brands versions. Surprise yourself right out of the box. No matter how may guitars you own you do not have this amazing look (the pickguard alone is worth the price of admission) and amazing sound anywhere in your collection.
PS: Like all Airline and Eastwood guitars with vibratos, this Town & Country comes equipt from the factory with a roller stylee tune-o-matic bridge allowing the strings to slide nice and free. Somebody up there (in Canada) on the design team was paying attention.
