We haven't seen a 1960s Epiphone Cortez as nice as this in years. Essentially an X-braced Gibson LG-2 but with the Epiphone peghead and pickguard, and made in Gibson's Kalamazoo, Michigan plant. This is one of the earlier examples, still with the New York peghead shape, quite cool. Being from the early 1960s, it has that unique, slightly-wider and slightly-shallower neck contour, unusually comfortable and quite rare. In near-immaculate condition, barely ever played; finish 99.99% intact with maybe two or three tiny dings is all, and virtually no fret wear. Big, bold tone, can come only from a fifty-year-old guitar, no other way to get it. $3595 w/ossc
