Epiphone has released a signature model of Matthew K. Heafy, guitarist and vocalist of Trivium and Kafarnaum. This model is based on the Les Paul Custom, and looks like a massive Les Paul Custom. The pickups are EMG EMG-85 & EMG-81, which are synonymous with active pickups, and the sound is low noise with a wide range that responds comfortably to distortion. The contours on the body back and the heel-less cut that achieves high playing performance even in the high position were built with playability in mind. This model is recommended for those who are looking for a highly practical Les Paul Custom without being a fan.
