1959 Epiphone Sheraton Sunburst, Excellent, Original Hard, Call For Price!

HOLDUnusual transitional Epi Sheraton. Gibson made them using Epiphone parts on Gibson made bodies and some hardware until the ran out of pickups, then they used Gibson mini hums. The carousel knobs gave way to reflectors and the frequensator tailpiece somehow endured. This is a late 59 that was routed for New York pickups but was fitted with mini hums. The oversized routs were meticulously filled and trim rings were installed. It would be easy to fob this off as aftermarket work, but there are a few that were made this way leading me to conclude that it was done at the factory. somebody must have forgotten to count how many NY pickups were left. Anyway, its got the big fabulous Epi vee neck and the fancy headstock and inlays but its got mini hums and reflector knobs. This is fabulous guitar. Original grey case.
