Brief History: ESP, the abbreviation of Electric Sound Products, was started in 1975 by Hisatake Shibuya who opened a shop for replacing guitar parts in Tokyo, Japan. By 1976, ESP was producing their own guitars. The USA was introduced to ESP guitar parts in the early '80s and by 1985 the US saw their first run of the over seas ESP 400 series guitars. George Lynch discovered ESP in 1986 and had them build a custom guitar for him. In 1989, ESP released George Lynch's custom model as their first signature guitar, and throughout the years they produced some of their most iconic instruments. In 1992, ESP discontinued the production of parts to focus on building guitars. And in 1996, LTD, the lesser expensive factory built guitars, was created. Playability: The neck is a U profile and medium shape. Setup by LTD and double checked in-house. Strung with 45-105 strings that sit at 5/64 on low E and 5/64 on high E.
