  • Description: An excellent melodic nylon from 1960's with a big sound and surprisingly great condition. Two stable top cracks. Wide but not too wide fingerboard, tight,not sloppy string tension and low action make for a very easy to play, satisfying guitar from a famed American builder. Favila's were made in NYC area in the 60's and they were as highly regarded as Guilds and Martins at the time- but cost less. Super guitars. that are pretty rare today. I have a sentimental fondness for them since at that time I could not afford a Martin and played a Favila steel string for many years.
