1968 Favino Selmer Petite Bouche

Call

  • Year: 1968
  • Manufacturer: Favino
  • Model: Selmer Petite Bouche
  • Case: Original Hard
  • Color:
  • Condition: Excellent
  • Description: Some simply age better than others... This is possibly one of the best Favino's we ever held in our collection. Excellent condition, except it obviously had a life. It shows some superficial top cracks that are all repaired, seems it had a pickguard screwed to it at one point, a sixties thing, maybe even original, and it shows a small filled hole in the back of the peghead, likely for hanging the guitar to the wall, quite normal for the late sixties also. It shows some scuffing, bruces, weatherchecking and playwear. Despite all these bruces from a long hard working life, this guitar is still in a excellent solid original condition and screams out a tone no new guitar is able to match. It features a Solid spruce top, laminated flamed maple back and sides, Five piece maple-rosewood-maple-rosewood-maple neck, SB Tuners. Awesome playabillit and a magic tone we never ever heard before, not even in the small number of Selmer guitars we sold over the years. This is serial number #100, dating back to 1968, and it is one of those very rare petite bouche 1969s Jacques Favino guitars, dating back to the time when Jacques only build around 20 guitars every year.
