  • Description: The original Fender® Bandmaster was introduced in 1953 as a 1x15" tweed combo. It then evolved to a 3x10" 26 watt tweed combo. But it really came into it's own in the famous 2x12" piggyback configuration (ultimately discontinued in 1974). In August 1967, Fender® changed the cosmetics from the Blackface to the Silverface style. This 1966 Bandmaster features the AB763 circuitry, (designed in July, 1963) the AB763 circuit is arguably considered the "best" circuit version produced for this amp by collectors and aficionados. This Bandmaster piggyback is in really good shape, there is some corrosion on the chrome corners and bracketry, and a few scuffs in the tolex. There have been no circuit modifications, the only departure from originality is in the speaker cabinet, one original speaker was good, however one non-original speaker required replacement. We had a matched pair of 1967 Jensen C12-N speakers that we felt would be the perfect compliment to this very original amp. This is a great sounding and very collectable Bandmaster, submitted for your approval.
