Description

Here is a rare and all original Fender Bass V with a serial number of 600008. The Bass V features a high 5th C string and the elongated Fender body with shorter upper and lower cutouts. This is a truly unique Fender Bass from the early CBS era. This one is a really solid and sturdy model that was built to handle the tension of the extra 5th string and give modern musicians a new dimension in playability in tone! The sunburst amber, red and black finish has aged beautifully. Coupled with the pick-up covers and the original red pearloid 4 ply guard this bass is a certified showstopper! It also features the standard 34” scale with a maple neck, a rosewood board and 15 solid frets. The neck and headstock have aged to a sweet amber color and the overall condition is superb! Cosmetically the only flaws are age appropriate bumps and bruises such as scratches along the sides and back as well as some small finish dings above the pickguard. There is also a small chip in the pickguard right below the neck. There is also a small chip in the headstock near the nut adjacent to the highest string. Comes with tweed case.
