Super nice all original example of a February of 1962 (first variant) Fender Bass VI with two pot date codes of 304 61 52. Early production with chrome pickup surrounds and three switches a better system compared to the four switch system as seen on later production. Glossy and vibrant three color sunburst finish like the day it was made, the neck is unfaded almost white, no yellowing or darkening, no playing wear evident on the perfect frets, the clay dots look untouched. No modifications or repairs an unmolested all original instrument with a perfectly straight neck and a working truss rod. All original working electronics not a solder joint touched, sounds fantastic, plenty of output, great bandwidth. Set up nicely plays great now tuned to G sounds really incredible when put through its paces, the three pickup selector switches offer an exciting array of tones from bright to really fat bass. As good an instrument as an investment, perhaps the best baritone guitar one can own even though made by Fender as a Bass VI. Comes with an original vintage Fender strap and cable inside the super nice original brown Tolex hard shell case with orange interior. Only $8499.
