  • Description: 1966 or 1967 Serial #194940 Fender® Coronado II Can you say funk guitar?! Thinline, semi-hollowbody, double cutaway, single-bound body with 2 original pickups! This guitar is in completely working and excellent cosmetic and playing condition. 21 frets are expectantly worn from the years of play but only minimally. No serious pocketing/dents and there's a good amount of play in it before requiring a fret mill. It has a classic hollowbody tone that only vintage boxes like this can yield - think old Epiphone Casinos for example, or ES-355's but in a thinline version. Beautiful cherry sunburst finish and mother-of-toilet-seat block inlays - both classic appointments of this era! Floating wood bridge and "F" logo Fender® tailpiece, 2 volume 2 tone knob configuration. Sound-wise, it spanks acoustically and snarls when it's plugged in! Interestingly enough, it had flatwounds on it when it came to us and actually sounded like a nice open-air type of jazz box! If this guitar isn't classic California culture, I don't know what is.... All original parts, completely stock!! The only modification done is the original upper strap button was relocated slightly, leaving a tiny screw hole in its place. This is something we can professionally fill upon request.
