  • Description: Fender® Duo-Sonic Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1964), made in Fullerton, California, serial # L32495, Blonde lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. This is a very early example of a second generation Duo-Sonic, one of the first of the redesigned 1964 model with "Mustang® style" components. It is rare to find a true "Pre-CBS" version of this guitar but here it is complete with clay dot fingerboard and neck dated August 1964. White (faded to cream) finished body with tortoise celluloid pickguard, two white-cover pickups and Mustang-style switching system. This is the rarer variant with the longer 24" scale neck; most of these are 22 1/2" scale. A really neat example of Fender®'s rarest 1960's student electric Spanish guitar.Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 12 1/4 in. (31.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 in. (610 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/2 in. (38 mm.). All original with a moderate amount of finish wear, mostly on the back, and bottom edge. Plays and sounds very well. Generally Excellent Condition.
