DESCRIPTION
Super cool 1966 Fender Duo Sonic II in its original Dakota Red finish. The Duo Sonic II is a pretty unique model in the respect that it shares a fair amount of the characteristics of a Mustang including a 24-inch scale length which the earlier Duo Sonics did not have. Large headstock, pearloid pickguard, dual pickups w/ Mustang style switches, pearl fingerboard dots. Pots are coded 3046542 dating to the 42nd week of 1965. This instrument has hands down one of the nicest Brazilian rosewood fingerboards I've seen on a vintage Fender guitar. Overall in very good condition less some scattered finish checking and minor wear as well as the high E tuner missing part of its tip the string goes into. That said, it functions as it should and holds tune as it should. Pro setup in-house and comes complete with its original hardshell case.
