Description

Telecasters and Esquires are a true workingman's guitar. They don't sit in closets or under beds, they get played or they get sold to someone who will play them. This one seems to have been unusually well cared or else it was hardly played because it shows almost no player wear at all. Look at the fingerboard...almost no wear (and no dirt). The body is super clean with only a few chips here and there around the edges. Even the color shows almost no fade or mottling that is usual on white guards Esquires and Teles. This one is all original and a great player. The big fat V profile neck is the big attraction in a 56. Yes, the flat pole pickup is gone by then but that neck more than makes up for it. This one has its original ashtray and possibly, the case. The case is a lot more beat up than the guitar which calls its originality into question but, truthfully, you really never know if a case is original or not. Most dealers hung the guitars on the wall and threw the cases in a big pile in the store room and pulled out whatever case fit when the guitar was sold.
