Description

Here is a rare one and I am absolutely thrilled to have this in the shop! Here we have a 1984 Fullerton Fender ’62 Reissue Stratocaster in the very rare and original Candy Apple Red finish. The gold undercoat is present and shows greening in spots. Also, and it appears this one is factory finished over Fiesta Red, which has been documented from other Fullerton Strats. Overall in Great condition for it’s age but absolutely has some cool finish checking, dings, dents, and enough wear to give you the impression it’s a real ’62. The finish blacklights correctly as well. The neck on this one has the slim Fullerton feel to it without being too slim. Very resonant with fantastic tone and playability. This one has an early serial of V006409, all pots matching R1378330 dating to the 30th week of 1983. The neck is pencil dated Aug 20 1984, generally these had an all number style neck date, but this particular one has Aug spelled out. It is under the lacquer and appears original. The original 3 way switch this guitar came with is still in the guitar and the electronics appear untouched. I’m a big fan of these 82-84 Reissue Strats and I must say it’s rare to find one in Candy Apple Red and this one is a outstanding looking, playing, and sounding instrument. Comes with a non original hardshell original trem arm.
