Description: Featuring nice low action on its typically shallow, narrow neck, this Jaguar® is a light and delicate feel that goes with its stately finish. With only light checking and a couple of dents, it’s a clean finish indeed. This Jaguar® shows a good example of the under-the-bridge string mute, which was introduced along with the model in 1962 to deaden the resonance of the strings when engaged, simulating a palm-muting technique but freeing the player’s right hand to pick at a freer angle. The string mute has been put to use especially well in surf guitar circles, where its percussive jangly effect influenced surf’s rhythm sound.
