Fender Jazz Bass 1977 Cherry Sunburst Vintage Vintage USA w/ Bag

This is a super cool vintage Fender Jazz Bass from 1977 in cherry sunburst finish. This bass is very heavy-weight at just over 12 pounds and has a solid 3-bolt maple neck. 

This bass does show plenty of cosmetic wear from over the years. There's various scratches, chips, and dents, etc. all throughout the body and there's also quite a bit of wear along the back of the neck and headstock. The thin finish has worn away and started pealing in some areas, exposing the natural ash underneath. The plastic casing around the bridge pickup has some cracks present and there's some light oxidation on the hardware from over time. The frets show quite a bit of wear and have lost a lot of their crown from the many years of play. Because of this, the strings are slightly buzzy in some spots. Most of the lacquer on the back of the neck and fretboard has also worn. Despite the wear on the neck, this bass still feels comfortable to play.

The pickups have been swapped for a set of Ken Smith Jazz Bass pickups and the electronics have been replaced as well. The pickup and bridge covers are also missing. The pickguard is not original, and a few screws are not present.  The bridge gas been swapped to a Badass II bridge. A few black spots on the finish have been touched up where the finish is chipped as show. While this bass is not entirely original, it is a great player with tons of vibe!
