Description

Leo Fender brought us the first Jazz Bass in 1960, and its offset-waist body, balanced design, and smooth-playing, narrow neck continue to give today’s Jazz Bass version excellent playability and a distinctive look. Players from all genres have embraced this bass, and you can see it on stages everywhere and hear it in countless recordings. As with so many of Fender’s original designs, the man got the essence of the Jazz Bass right the first time, and the Marcus Miller Jazz Bass bears that out. Marcus Miller’s combination of soulful groove and astounding technical ability has made him one of the jazz world’s preeminent virtuoso bassists. Fender’s stylish five-string Marcus Miller Jazz Bass® V guitar is soulful and astounding, too. Its natural gloss fin ish has some definite play time sporting some major chipping around it edges & its back finish is faded from use. It has an ash body, distinctive black pickgard & control plate, one-piece C-shaped maple neck, 7.25”-radius maple fingerboard with white binding and white pearl block inlays, Posiflex™ graphite neck support rods. Great tone comes from a pair of custom vintage-style Jazz Bass single-coil pickups and an 18-volt active preamp; the two-band active EQ has an active/passive mini-toggle switch. Other features include knurled chrome dome knobs on the volume controls and black Jazz Bass knobs on the tone controls, contoured heel and asymmetrical five-bolt neck plate. She’s very original & is surely very good overall & comes in a nice gig bag.
