  • Description: Retrfofret Stock # 5459. Fender® Jazzmaster™ Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1960), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 68911, Blonde lacquer finish, ash body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case. This is a splendid early Jazzmaster™ with the relatively rare blonde-finish-over-ash body; all other color option were sprayed over the much more common alder. The neck date is August 1960, so the Jazzmaster™ was still a fairly new model, and top of the line, when this custom color example was made. Used but not abused, this well-cared-for guitar remains an exceptional and extremely attractive twang machine. This one has more "ring" to the tone than most Jazzmasters we've had, and has quickly become a house favorite.Overall length is 40 5/8 in. (103.2 cm.), 14 in. (35.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 11/16 in. (4.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). Very nice and all original finish and hardware except for an excellent and correct style pro refret. Overall the finish has numerous small chips and dings, some wear to the treble side neck edge and a spot of arm wear on the body but is very attractive nonetheless. This early Jazzmaster™ is overall a very nice example and an excellent playing and sounding guitar. Includes a very nice original HSC and some original "case candy". Overall Excellent Condition.
