Who buys vintage guitars? We do!
Call 530-570-1525 or email sales@maharsvintageguitars.com to sell your vintage guitar, bass, amplifier, etc - one piece or a collection! We are always ready to buy instruments, amps and effects from Fender, Gibson, Martin, Epiphone, Rickenbacker, Gretsch, Marshall, Vox and just about anything else related to musical instruments.

I've had some killer Jazzmasters through the shop. I generally prefer those from '62 or '63 for their neck shape and feel, and I am weak for gold pickguard models from '58 and '59, but this one is probably the best playing and sounding Jazzmaster that has come through. I never describe guitars this way because I see it all the time in other postings, but I mean it!

The guitar is all original. We check every guitar, new or old, and we provide more pictures than most dealers so you can confirm for yourself the details that we put into words.

Body and neck dates are present from early 1960.

The frets have been milled but are in great shape.

The neck is perfect.

The pickguard is shrinking, as is typical. It hugs the rotary tone control in the rhythm circuit, making it hard to adjust, but the control does work. Most people don't use this set of controls, which I find interesting because it is useful for getting a fourth sound out of the guitar.

The original trem arm and switch tip are present. There is no bridge cover. The guitar sat on a coiled cord at some point, leaving a pattern in the lacquer on the back. The red in the sunburst has faded on the top but is present on the back of the guitar.

The original case is in excellent condition.

This is the perfect Jazzmaster for the player and the collector!
