The headstock says Fender® Jazzmaster™ in Gold and under this in black lettering reads "with synchronized floating tremolo" followed by six sets of patent numbers. It comes with the original case with orange lining. The Jazzmaster™ was considered the top of the line at Fender® during the guitars early years. There are a couple of very tiny indentations on the back of the guitar. A small 7/16" square metal plaque has been placed on the face of the bass bout witch has the letter F on it. Otherwise, this guitar is immaculate. The finish is amazing and there is no wear. The Fender® Jazzmaster™ was an instrument of choice for 1960s surf bands.
