2009 Ritchie Blackmore Stratocaster
Ritchie Blackmore signature model based on a 1972 Stratocaster with Seymour Duncan (SSL-4 Quarter Pound) in the rear and front. The middle pickup is a dummy as per his specification. The quarter pound pickup has been installed on Ritchie's favorite Strat since Rainbow's 4th album "Down to Earth" ('79), which was released with an eye on the American market. The powerful and modern tone character of the SSL-4 was the best match for Rainbow's sound at that time, when they were changing their musical style from hard rock to broad rock. The scalloped fingerboard and Ritchie's replica signature on the headstock are also great specs for enthusiasts.
