Description: Fender® Musicmaster™ II Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1966), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 133908, red lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original grey hard shell case. An extremely fine example of Fender®'s student guitar for 1966, about as nice as they get! This particular Musicmaster™ II features the longer scale 24" neck which is less often seen on this model (these student Fenders were offered in two scale lengths) making for a better playing guitar for most applications today. The neck date is actually June 65 but the pots in the guitar date to early 1966, indicating something of a time lag in orders for this particular version of the guitar in the fall of '65! The red finish is still vibrant and the guitar is completely original, including the case and hang tag/instruction booklet. These simpler 1960's Fenders have been gaining appreciation recently as great-playing and handy guitars and this is a particularly nice one.Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 12 1/4 in. (31.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/4 in. (3.2 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 in. (610 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). All original with only very minor play wear. Excellent + Condition.
