Description

There are Telecaster fans, and there are Stratocaster fans, and then there are Mustang lovers. The story begins with the MusicMaster and Duo-Sonic, Fender's "student guitar's". The Mustang was introduced in August 1964, and was essentially a Duo-Sonic with a Dynamic Fender Vibrato. The Mustang, with it's short 24" scale, is very easy to play and has found a spot in the hearts of many. This 1966 model, serial #144599, is in very good shape, the frets were worn too low when she found her way to us. We performed a beautiful refret, and we also had to replace one of the tuners, we used a period correct tuner except the button is nickel, not plastic, as the others are. The neck codes, and pot codes all agree with the serial number dating. There are a variety of "chips & nicks" about the body, ( no extra charge from the Custom Shop), which add to the "Patina". This guitar has been played and loved, and now with it's new frets, is ready for more!
