  • Description: Want a good one, here it is, want a great player, here it is, nuff said. Finish is dead original, 5947 pots I just had to change the cap because it disintegrated. All other parts are original. I just installed a new nut, the original unit was cracked in many places and could not be salvaged. Other then the nut and cap its all there. Still has what looks to be the original frets. 2 minor things. We bought the bass from the original owner, it came in a crappy 60s vinyl gig bag. In storage the naked vinyl reacted with the paint on the front and back of the head, but very mildly. Nothing too funky and we have no concerns with it. In the 70s, the owner removed the original guard, bought an aftermarket guard and cut it to just cover the controls. Near the pick up on the bass side of the body is 2 tiny holes (smaller then pickguard screws) that held a plaque. The original green guard hides the 2 tiny holes. All in all the bass is sweet, its crazy rare, it plays insane and looks better. Think about it, custom color, green guard, slab board 62 Pbass… OHSC (Brown Tolex)
