The guitar has recently been serviced with a neck set up, and new screws replaced around the pickups. electrics are in good working order having been serviced and the bass is all set up ready to play with no issues. there is a surface crack around the headstock, that does not affect the structural integrity. Case is not original.” The pot codes indicate that these components were made in the 47th week of the year 1958. The finish on the back of the neck shows considerable playing wear. The red finish on the front of the peghead matches the body color and was done at the same time as the body finish. since typically custom-color Precision Basses did not have color on the front of the peghead matching the body. With the exceptions noted, the instrument conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made, with maple neck with thick slab rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlays, and typical Precision Bass® electronics, hardware, and ornamentation. The white pickguard is a replacement since white guards of this type were used originally only on custom color examples. The orginal color was sunburst. All sales are final, no returns.
