This is a rare variant of the desirable Fender Reverb Tank unit, with “Smooth White Tolex” , Wheat grill cloth, and all Pre-CBS features, dating to early 1965, with (1964 transformers)

Smooth White Tolex with wheat grill cloth came onboard after the Rough White Tolex and preceded the Black Tolex.

These Reverb Tanks add a fantastic dimension to non-reverb Fender Tweeds, Brown, and White Tolex 1950’s and 1960’s amps. They are the secret sauce to killer tone.

This reverb tank is in fantastic original condition, with the wheat grill cloth in clean original shape as is the Tolex. This one was well taken care of during its life, and probably never left the house. This could clean up to even cleaner with a small amount of work.

Pre CBS-style blue Mallory Ajax Caps, along with red Asteron and red Mallory caps gives this the same footprint as the brown Tolex reverb tanks.

Tube Chart dates to 1965, March.

Pots date to 1st week of 1965, 304 65 01. Original Mallory electrolytic caps date to 22nd week, 1964: 6422.

Power Transformer is 125P24A , 606-4-43 puts it at late 1964

Choke and output transformer are also 1964: 125C3A 606-4-43 & 125A12A 606-4-49

Tubes are all original old stock vintage tubes and look new: Westinghouse 6K6 GT dated 61-09, RCA 12AT7, Westinghouse 12AX7

Original footswitch is a nice bonus, it probably has a replaced input jack.

Still has the original power cord, and the original electrolytic caps, which should probably be replaced.

Will be well packed for shipping, with the reverb pan securely locked down. All amps are sold as is due to the nature of the electronics, and should be serviced for safety.
