1961 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

Very nice slab board 61 Stratocaster. This guitar appears to be all original right down to the frets. One knob looks a little cleaner than the rest but maybe that's because no one ever touches the lower tone control. It is correct, however. Finish is still very vibrant with a lot of red and very little yellow. The back and sides have their share of scrapes and dings but doesn't appear to have been played often or played hard. The top is excellent. The guard has shrunk a bit and one corner is broken off. That guard is now in the case and a very expensive high end repro is now on the guitar. I'll put the original back on if you request that. This guitar is still equipped with its original 3 way switch. Neck date is 11/61 and body date looks like 7 or 9/61. It has not been modded in any way. Good brown original case.
