Feel free to call for a hands on a description(608-235-3561). 1964 Fender® Stratocaster®, serial # L20760, neck date is 2 JAN 64B, Fiesta Red, Rosewood fretboard w/clay dots, green guard, 64' pickups, 64' pots, 100% original except missing the back panel, weighs 7 lbs. - 15.5 oz., this is one of the Selmer Strats, Selmer imported the Fenders to England, they took some of the sunburst ones, and refinished them in Fiesta Red over the sunburst like Hank Marvins guitar, on some they put a mini slider switch above the 3-way to get the 5-way switching sounds, this one has that switch on it, my friend had Steve Soest(top Fender® historian) check this guitar out recently from end to end, Steve says it is 100% correct, the guitar is in very nice condition, the only problem with it, is there is very heavy fretboard wear, a lot of it caused by flat wound strings, it looks to have been re-fretted at some point-same style-and are in nice shape, there is people who can restore the fretboard, bottom strap button moved over a little-extra hole visable, back of the neck has nice figuring in the Maple, there is some paint chips on the edges, and some black residue from the foam from the RARE white Fender® back cover, the body between the neck pocket and the pickup rout has a couple of cracks that look like they have been repaired at some point, the finish on the top & back are very nice, the guitar is very clean overall, other than the fretboard-this is a no excuses great one, not many like this one around, even has the original Selmer leather guitar strap, do not miss this one collectors, has the original Fender® Selmer hard case(non-original handle).
