Description: UGC34752 It's amazing to think about how much music had changed in the relatively short span between 1954 and 1964. Rock and roll had come to stay and along with it the solidbody electric guitar. Meanwhile, Leo Fender® and his cohort George Fullerton were continually aiming to improve the Stratocaster®, a model that some feel is the perfect marriage of design and functionality. This example from 1964 is finished in Olympic white that's aged too a gorgeous cream color and the comfy "C" shape maple neck is topped with a laminate rosewood fingerboard. The pickups and 3-way switch are original, however the switch has died so the tone circuit is not currently working. The volume and tone pots have been replaced, but they have been tested by bypassing the original switch so the tone controls will function. With original hard shell case.
