1972 Fender Stratocaster Black

Black, VG++, all stock with single string tree, grey bottom staggered pole pickups and original electronics including the three-way switch.
Black was a custom color before 1974 and that makes this rather rare-er. This one was sold by Willie’s in the 90’s. Has a great tone with that hollow bell-like tone that can be addictive. This all-original guitar comes with the original (wood) hard case and trem arm. Nice and light at 7.75 pounds. We will point out that the area around the nut has been repaired. It’s never had any type of locking nut.  The maple behind the nut had broken away and filled perhaps not artfully but the repair functions and it stays in tune well. You might not even noticed but take a look. Why?  Sometimes a journeyman repairman will try too hard when removing a nut to replace with another and the little sliver of maple breaks away. Now fixed. We offer this with pride at a price that’s hard to argue with. The rest of the guitar is factory original and has never suffered the indignities of any modifications. Even the 3 way switch remains.
