  • Description: It's a 1977 Fender® Stratocaster® in a Natural finish. This beautifully grained ash-bodied Strat® was born 32 years ago. It has been played extensively but has retained its originality quite nicely. All of the plastic, the tuners, and frets are original. The frets are worn but the neck is straight and this guitar still plays great. The natural finish is in pretty nice shape. There is a fair amount of arm wear; some of it is through the clear coat. There are a few other blemishes in the finish. The beauty of natural finishes is that they are barely noticeable. This guitar’s serial number is S7738XX which puts its manufacture date at 1977. The two potentiometer codes we can read are the 45th week of ’77 and the 6th week of 1978. These types of date discrepancies do occur with Fender® from time to time. The pickups were measured at the output jack and read 5.71 k ohms for the neck pickup, 5.70 k ohms for the middle pickup, and 5.72 k ohms for the bridge pickup. This Strat® really sounds great. Maybe it’s because the pickups are so evenly matched. The guitar weighs in at 8lbs 8 oz. It will ship in a newer Fender® hard shell case and will be professionally packed with care.
