A fantastic playing Stratocaster, this guitar has all 1979 features, with pots dating to the final weeks of '79, but a final assembly date of early 1981. These guitars represent some of the final Stratocasters made in the original Fender factory in Fullerton, CA. Production was moved exclusively to Japan before the opening of the present day facility in Corona, CA. It has all of the standard features of a 1970s Stratocaster, including a larger headstock with black logo, three ply pickguard, five way pickup selector switch, and a great playing "C" shaped neck. This guitar has the less common rosewood fingerboard and features a killer and original "Black" finish. A great playing guitar and a perfect way to get into a vintage Strat at a player friendly price!
