  • Description: Fender® Telecaster® Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1966), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 125134, Blonde lacquer finish, ash body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black hard shell case. Overall length is 38 3/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 12 3/4 in. (32.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). A great playing and sounding Tele; somewhat worn in with probably an interesting history! All original finish...There is a lot of wear to the body edges, with a few small traces of what appears to be blue poster paint in spots. The neck has a fair amount of finish wear and an older refret with correct larger '66 style wire. The lead pickup has some added rainbow thread around the bobbin (shades of '68!) possible added when it was potted at some point as it appears otherwise original. The pickguard is correct Fender® but slightly later (ca. '68); the original pickguard is included but is painted black over some sort of obscure floral pattern and notched in the truss rod area (like we said- a psychedelic past!). The wiring is still the original '50's-60's pattern with the bass capacitor on the neck pickup in the front switch position and no 2-pickup selection. Very lightweight, a cool '60's Tele®. Overall Very Good + Condition.
