  • Description: UGC34720 Now here's a workhorse! In the '70s it was quite common for players to remove the finish from their guitars so that the wood could breath and resonate better. The remnants of the original blonde finish can still be seen in the grain of the ash. Also common back then (and today for that matter) is having pickups changed or added. At one point the body was routed to accommodate a humbucker in the neck position and probably a Strat® single-coil in the middle position. The maple neck has a date stamp of 3NOV67B and has had the original frets replaced with jumbo frets. It's clear that this was someone's longtime Roadhouse™ rocker with a look, feel and sound that can only be produced by an instrument that's spent its life on the bandstand. With hard shell case.
