1971 Fender Telecaster Blonde with Rosewood Fingerboard & OHSC

Summary:  The Fender Telecaster is one of the most
important electric guitars of all time and this one has held up wonderfully
over the past 50 years.  Total simplicity
with 2 knobs, 2 pickups and a variety of classic tones.  This Fender Telecaster has a
wonderfully aged blonde finish with lots of natural wear, a nice thick maple neck and rosewood fingerboard.  It is a testament to Fenders ability to make a stellar
guitar in the CBS era.  It ships
in its original hard-shell case with original ash tray bridge cover.

Body:  Solid
body Telecaster with a naturally aged blonde finish & a three ply white/black/white
pickguard.

Neck:  One piece maple neck with a skunk stripe down the back and a beautiful
dark rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays, original Fender tuning keys, 21
frets, 25.5” scale length, 1 5/8” nut width, original Fender Logo.

Pickups/Hardware:
 2 original single
coil pickups, one volume knob, one tone knob, three way switch, chrome hardware,
original Fender tuning keys and steel saddles, chrome bridge pickup cover.

Cosmetics:  This vintage Fender Telecaster has all the
right kinds of wear with lots of light scratches, several nicks and dings on the
body, lots of wear around the edges and tons of cool vintage character.  The blonde finish is in great shape but it
does have a few spots where it looks cloudy, especially around the edges of the
pickguard & the bridge.  There are a few spots on the back where the finish has melted/deformed.  This is common on old guitars that sit on a guitar cable or a stand that reacts with the finish.  The frets
show some wear, mostly on the first 3 frets but they still have plenty of life left in them.   There's some wear through the finish on the skunk stripe on the back of the neck.  The rosewood fingerboard is in great
shape. There is a bit of corrosion on
the inside of the bridge.   All wear is consistent with a well-played and
loved vintage guitar from the 1970’s.

Playability:  We set this Fender up with a
new set of 10’s and it plays & sounds great. The action is low and the truss rod is fully
functional. The frets show some wear but
they still have plenty of life left in them.
